Exporting DXF/DWG Files

The Export DXF/DWG dialog allows you to export DXF / DWG files.

Exporting DXF/DWG Files

The following will explain how to export DXF/DWG data from Quadcept data.

Exporting a DXF/DWG File
(1) Select [File] >> [Export] >> [DXF/DWG].
(2) Configure the export settings.
(3) Click "OK".
(4) Enter a file name.
(5) Click "Save".
(6) Click "OK" to finish.

Item Description

Format

Specifies the format for DXF/DWG export.

Version

Specifies the version for DXF/DWG export.

Unit

Specifies the unit for DXF/DWG export.

Output in Block Mode

Executes blocking according the footprint unit. Objects that belong to the footprint will be exported together in one layer.

Routing Mode

Route Export mode can be toggled. * The circle in the image indicates the Pad Outline.

Line Width Centerline Outline

 

Output Tear Drop

Enable this option to set whether to output the Tear Drop.

With Tear Drop (Routing Mode: For Line Width) Without Tear Drop (Routing Mode: For Line Width)

 

Draw Polygon/Plane With One Stroke

Enable this option to draw the outline of polygons / planes with one stroke.

Output Text as Line

Enable this option to output text objects as line objects.

Shape of end

 The end shape of Lines and Routes can be selected.

Circle on the edge of line Rectangle on the edge of line

* When read by Quadcept, it will be read as a circle because Rectangle mode is not yet available for the end of the line.

Output Layer

It is possible to confirm the Type and Color of the layer that is exported.
Using checkboxes, it is possible to allow/prohibit output of each layer, and to change the color.

Output Objects

Output objects can be selected using the checkboxes.

Pads, Vias, Drills, Planes, Keep Out Areas, Design Rule Areas, and Filled Polygons are exported using Outline.

Specifies the unit for DXF/DWG export.

Output in Block Mode

When the Aperture is the same, it is possible to select whether to export all as a block.
By using Block Mode, it is possible to reduce the amount of data.

Output Layer

It is possible to confirm the Type and Color of the layer that is exported.
Using checkboxes, it is possible to allow/prohibit output of each layer, and to change the color.

The text objects will be output as polylines. If you are using a Windows font for the text objects, then only the outlines of them will be output.
